Desert Palms Clay Poker Chip ImageDesert Palms Chips are about the next best alternative to real casino chips. If you pick some up, you might even think you are holding chips from an actual casino. There are many different denominations available with a wide variety of multi colored edge spots. The mold of the chip is very nice and really makes the chip in my opinion. It is very classy and very reminiscent of what you would find in a casino. The surface of the chip has a very nice cross-hatched texture that is nicer looking than some of the other chips I've seen. The inlay is smooth like most casino chips are. The fractional denomination chips (25c and 50c) both use custom hot stamps that look pretty nice. The gold hot stamp on the 50 cent chip does look a little strange against the base color of that chip. The chips are a bit light in weight but still sound and feel almost identical to Paulson casino chips. The price is great!

Desert Palms Clay Poker Chip ImageThe only issue I've found is that some of the inlays have off centered printing and some of the labels are not perfectly round. This is pretty normal if you've shopped for other clay chips. The picture to the left shows some of the issues on this chip. This was the worst chip I reviewed. Most of the others looked great.
