When I first received these Desert Sands ceramic chips, I was expecting them to be very similar to the Nevada Jack Ceramic chips. However, that was not the case. I'm not sure if the Desert Sands are printed on different blanks but there were some major differences between the two. The Desert Sands chips seemed to have a higher pitched sound to them. The printing was not clear like on the Nevada Jacks. Overall, the design was just a little strange looking in person. It was almost like they made it to look like a clay chip. But it is not a clay chip. The edge stripes do not line up with the stripes on the face of the chips. They were just not as pleasant to play with and handle when compared to the Nevada Jacks. And since they are about the same price, I would recommend the Nevada Jacks over these unless you really love this design.
