Four Aces poker chips have been around for a few years now and they remain a very popular chip for several reasons. They have the denominations already printed on the chip which is a plus for those who may be upgrading from a set of dice or suited style chips. They are relatively inexpensive compared to other chips with denominations and/or printing on them. Because of the price, you can afford to buy more chips to accomodate more players which is why these are very popular tournament chips.
The quality of these chips is mediocre. While most of the printing seems to be very clear and sharp, most of the chips had a small white ring around where the recessed center of the chip begins (right in the middle of the designs of the cards. Also, if you scratch the surface with anything sharp, the white base color of the chip will show. This can be accomplished quite easily. Other than that, the chips are very eash to shuffle and should receive a warm response to any group used to lower quality dice/suited chips. I was quite surprised at the reaction of some players at a poker game I recently played in when the owner of the house brought out a set of 4 Aces Chips. Some typical reactions were..."Wow, you got the real thing"... "Cool Chips"...etc. So if you've got a group of people who don't know any better, they will be very pleased when you introduce these chips at your next game.

The chips are basic ABS Plastic chips with a metal insert so they do not sound any better than your typical dice style chips. They have a very metallic sound to them. The weight is good at 11.6g. The chips have a small ring of texture where the printed area meets the base of the chip. The rest of the surface is smooth so the chips are a bit slippery. They do stack fairly well considering they are a bit slippery. There are also about 14 different denominations (some that share the same stripe colors) to choose from. So the set offers any denomination most poker players are comfortable using including several low denomination and high denomination options.
