InPlay Clay poker chips are some of the best poker chips available on the home market. There are many denominations available. The chips all feature 3 multi colored edge spots. Some of the color combinations are great and others are just ok.
The mold of the chip is very unique. It is called the Cigar and Snifter mold and you can only find this mold at BuyPokerChips.com. It features a Snifter with a Cigar through it and that pattern is repeated around the chip 8 times and surrounded by a concentric circle. It is a very classy mold that has a unique smooth finish designed to replicate the smoothness of a casino chip after it has been broken in with regular play. It does take a little while to get used to the smooth finish especially if you are used to handling textured surface chips, but once you get used to it, they are great. They are easy to shuffle and handle. The sound of these chips is a little more hollow and lighter than Paulson chips but still a great sound. The chips are also lighter in weight than most casino chips. When playing in a regular game, this is hardly noticeable.
The inlays are all feature the same basic design except for the changes in denomination. The inlays have a cross-hatched or textured surface giving the chip a very nice feel. The denominations are a little small on the chip but are still easily readable. Some of the inlays had printing that was off center. However, most of the inlays were placed well within the inlay area and were not outside of that area. This issue with the inlays is not unique to these chips. Most clay chips, even casino chips can have off center printing on the inlays.
