Nevada Jacks Ceramic or Composite poker chips (also known as the Nevada Jack Skulls) are some of the most popular mid-range chips on the market that have also been around for several years. The actual chip blanks used to make these chips has changed over the years and I'm not exactly sure which version I have, but I am impressed with them none the less. There are plenty of denominations available in a wide variety of colors. The colors are easily recognizable on the face as well because the denominations are also matched to the base color. They are very easy to differentiate between different chips. The only complaint I have is that the stripes on the edges of the chips are all the same gold and black color. Having a more unique ridge design would have been optimal, but they still look great as is.
The weight of the Nevada Jacks chips is perfect at right around 10 grams each. The outside ridge of the chips has a subtle gloss finish to it and the faces have a slight texture with a matte finish. The printing appears very clear. The chips sound great like ceramic chips should and also shuffle pretty easily. There is a small injection mold pimple on the ridge of each chip. This is pretty normal for ceramic chips.
Overall if you are looking for a high quality set that will impress your friends, Nevada Jacks Ceramic chips should be near the top of your list.
